Just be aware of the very high caffeine content about 60-80mg for each 8ounce first steep serving. Bitter, so I recommend ask the service to immediately remove the sachet after the first steep required time. They pour the first glass with the required steeped time, but they leave the sachet inside to continue steeping which of-course destroy the taste…. The problem is the servings: they brought the tea pot with the loose leave sachet inside. The tea: good selection for after dinner digestive.

There are not that many Michelin-starred Chinese restaurants and this one did not disappoint. So, is it worth it? The well-appointed higher-end atmosphere, the impeccable service, location at the Wynn, and the mostly excellent and tasty dinner. This is Vegas - drinks will be overpriced. The scallops were a bit underwhelming and the green beans for $26 was just a small(ish) serving of just green beans - lacking much saucing, spices or anything else that would make this dish different then a $2 green beans.

Of the main dishes, the peppercorn prawns were amazing and so was the sea bass. The peking salad was well dressed and the duck slices were. The appetizers were beautiful, varied, and delicious. We started with the appetizer sampler and the peking salad, and proceeded with the scallops, prawns, 3-cup sea bass and the green beans. Kudos to the chef and all of the outstanding staff that made this a most memorable meal. The Peking Duck matched the finest we were served when in Hong Kong. As if that wasn’t enough, we were also serve little dessert selections on a tree like arrangement and given a small clear box containing a citrus based sponge cake. This was delicious but we were getting full by this point and took most of it home to continue to enjoy later.įor dessert we were served what looks like a golf ball sized cherry replete with a hard red chocolate shell, over a custard which surrounded small tart cherries in the center.

The next course was Duck Fried Rice which was served with a Free Range Egg on top of the rice, and Sugar Peas, Yam pieces along with scallions. Of course, the duck was perfect and eggplant excellent. Next we enjoyed Duck with braised eggplant. This was followed by Duck Shu Mai which included water chestnuts, black Truffles and carrot puree. The next course in this all-duck tasting was a very creative Peking Duck Salad which included Peking Duck Rolls, Mesclun Greens, Baby Pomegranate seeds, Peanuts in Truffle Vinaigrette dressing. Since you are expected to eat these with your fingers, they also provide a warm damp cloth rolled up on a separate plate. They artfully assemble the crepes for you. They begin by bringing a whole perfectly cooked duck tableside and carving the first course of Peking Duck meat and crisp skin, Mandarin Crepes with cucumber, scallions, and hoisin sauce. We decided to try their Imperial Peking Duck, and specifically their Imperial Peking Duck Tasting dinner. Service was impeccable- very attentive without hovering. rest is one black set of chop sticks for eating, and one white/ivory set for serving/helping oneself. The décor is exquisite with elegantly set tables right down to each place setting having a special double chop stick rest. They are a Michelin star and Forbes Five-Star restaurant.
